What's an Alley Cat?
It's a fun bike ride (or race?) originally organized by and for bike messengers.

Some videos . . (check the London one)
Info for riders:
$10 entry fee gets you a chance to win amazing prizes! You get a spoke card, and free beer and pasta after the race. Bring a helmet, bag and lock. Your $10 helps SOS stop the spread of HIV and Hepatitis.
Info for SOS volunteers:
We need to spread the word - if you can post flyers (bike shops, coffee houses, on campus . . ) download and print some from the link below.
We need SOS volunteers and friends and supporters to man the checkpoints, help with the party, etc. Volunteers can also help us find sponsors - maybe you know a local business that wants to support the event. You can download a sponsor pack from the link below.
Info for sponsors:
You can donate cool prizes or stuff that helps us run the event (like printing, advertising, beer or food or sodas for the party, etc.) and you'll get your name and logo on the poster and everyone will know that you're good people. Download the sponsor pack (link below) for more info.
Sponsors so far:
The Food Bin
Blue Heron Farms
And of course, many thanks to our graphic artist, Hara Kumaran

The weather:
Saturday morning update: The last showers showing on weather radar should clear soon after 10am. Looks clear after that.
The party:
You'll get directions to the prizegiving and party at the last checkpoint (it's only a couple of blocks). The party ends at 10pm.
Racers (with spoke cards) and volunteers who helped with the race get free beer (the wonderful Golden State Pale Ale from Uncommon Brewers). Guests can buy beers cheap. Plenty pasta.
